The ARFX is 3.6 oz lighter than the A2 stock, while still retaining high strength and durability. A closed-cell foam "overtube" provides a super comfortable cheek weld, and it insulates the shooter's face from vibration and temperature extremes. The ARFX also sports three sling positions: right and left behind the receiver and one at the toe of the butt. Uses a standard A1/A2 receiver extension tube, buffer and spring ( not included ). Includes .5" thick rubber "over-mold" recoil pad. Can be installed on " Post Ban" rifles.

Over all length 9.8". L.O.P.= 13.0" ( without recoil pad ). Weight: 296g ( 10.9 oz)

I can't recommend it enough for this great product. This was my first attempt at installing an AR buttstock and the ARFX made it a breeze. Once you've screwed in the rifle length buffer tube you just slide the (lubed –I used dish soap) foam sleeve over the buffer tube in-line with the stock and install end plate. Once it's on, one screw holds everything in place, solid as a rock. Length is excellent even with or without the butt pad, the fit and finish is flawless and things like plenty of cap screws for the unused sling mount points (four locations to choose from, either side at the front, one each on the top and bottom of the back of the stock) really making this worth the money and time to install.

Very comfortable to use on the cheek and shoulder. Solid contruction. My choice for all my A2 length ARs.
